Mel graduated with BA (Hons) in Creative Arts & Creative Studies in English from Bath Spa University, and then with an MA in Image & Communications from Goldsmiths. She uses her phone to take photographs, mostly of her travels. She joined Ealing LIP to make friends after moving to the borough. Her favourite parts of being in the group are learning techniques from other members and photo challenges, as it makes her visualise potential shots differently or conceptualise a narrative. You can find her at group meetings holding a gin and tonic the size of a goldfish bowl.
