Blondin is an outdoor exhibition of photographs by Ealing LIP (London Independent Photography) illustrating the life of Blondin Park. We have discovered parts of the park and activities that have caught our imagination. They are on display on boards outdoors so you can view them at any time.
The exhibition will open in time for this year's BEAT (Borough of Ealing Art Trail) which runs over the weekends of 9-10 Sept and 16-17 Sept, but will remain up for several months.
Blondin Park is named after Charles Blondin, the French tightrope walker famous for crossing the Niagara Gorge, who lived locally. His legacy is still alive today. It was fun to meet a local who uses the park and walks a high wire. The image above is Nick Piovanelli in action in Blondin Park photographed by Jonny Baker. It's actually a blend of two photographs by Jonny edited by Jon Birch. It struck us that the tree in the original photograph bore an uncanny resemblance to the tree that is used as the logo for Ealing parks.
This means we currently have two outdoor exhibitions in Ealing as Unlocked is still up and has now been up for two years much to our surprise. So do have a look at that too.
We are a local group and welcome new people to join us from any background. You don't need to be a professional, just someone who enjoys photography. We meet regularly and also exhibit locally as part of the Borough of Ealing Art Trail.
