Chernobyl, Outer Hebrides, Monochrome and Newcomers

October's meeting saw six newcomers who had heard about the group through the TAG exhibition.

We spent a while reflecting on TAG which had around 700 visitors and all agreed how well it had gone and how good it was to be part of Ealing BEAT. We then discussed the upcoming Artisan exhibition which runs for three months and encouraged everyone to enter the LIP annual exhibition.

Then several people showed photos which was great. Here's a flavour...

Danilo Leonardi EALING LIP

Danilo Leonardi showed his first efforts in a while at black and white photography. The TAG exhibition and the process of preparing an image for the show made him reconsider his "exclusively colour" approach to personal work.  He has created a new Instagram @daniloleonardimonochrome and the photos he showed are already there.

Frankie McAllister wowed us with photos from Chernobyl. This is "Blue Room - from within the Chernobyl exclusion Zone, near the Duga radar installation".

Jonny Baker showed photos from a summer visit to the Outer Hebrides and Scotland. This photo is taken on the isle of Scalpay.

Richard Baker Donnelly showed some photos from a trip to Greece

Oblique Strategies Challenge Results

A while we back we set the oblique strategies challenge - see here for the explanation. But essentially each person drew a card at random and took an image in response. I have pasted the photos (or one of them for each photographer) and the oblique strategy and photographer below each image.
